A French Vintage Country Wedding at Cave Creek Ranch | Langley Wedding Photographer

Tucked away on 55 acres of rolling fields, towering maple groves, and peaceful countryside, Cave Creek Ranch is one of Langley’s hidden gems for couples dreaming of a romantic outdoor wedding. From heritage farm charm to breathtaking golden hour views of Mount Baker, every corner of this private property feels like it was made for timeless wedding photographs.

Ashlynn and Noah’s wedding day was the perfect reflection of that beauty.

Blending French vintage romance with rustic countryside charm, their day felt effortlessly elegant from beginning to end. Every thoughtful detail came together to create an atmosphere that was both intimate and unforgettable – made even more meaningful by the fact that Cave Creek Ranch is owned by close family friends of the couple.

Nestled along the Langley and Aldergrove border, Cave Creek Ranch has a rich local history dating back over a century. Originally established as a dairy farm by the Anderlini family after immigrating from Italy, the property has beautifully preserved its heritage while becoming one of the Fraser Valley’s most unique wedding venues. The restored heritage barn, sprawling hay fields overlooking Mount Baker, winding Cave Creek, and mature maple groves provide an incredible variety of backdrops throughout the day.

One of my favourite parts of the property has to be its ability to feel both expansive and incredibly intimate at the same time. You can wander through open fields one moment and step beneath towering trees the next, creating endless opportunities for relaxed, natural portraits that truly embrace the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

But if there was one detail that completely stole the show, it was the reception. Their clear-top reception tent was nothing short of magical.

Draped with delicate fabric and thousands of warm twinkle lights overhead, the entire space transformed as evening settled over the ranch. As soft summer light filtered through the surrounding trees, the tent seemed to glow from within, creating the dreamiest fairytale atmosphere. It felt like dining beneath the stars while still surrounded by the comfort of the forest – a reception design that perfectly captured the couple’s French vintage country vision.

If you’re planning a wedding at Cave Creek Ranch, don’t skip the reception details. Every carefully chosen piece of décor – from the elegant tablescapes to the romantic lighting and floral touches – deserves to be photographed before guests arrive. These are the little details that tell the complete story of your wedding day and bring all of your planning to life.

As beautiful as the venue was, the heart of the day was always Ashlynn and Noah.

Like so many modern love stories, theirs began with a dating app – two people who had almost given up on the process finding each other at exactly the right time. After matching, they spent hours chatting before deciding to meet at Wendel’s Bookstore & Café in Fort Langley for their very first date.

Noah arrived incredibly early after walking through the pouring rain, first stopping in search of Ashlynn’s favourite flowers. Although peonies weren’t in season, he still arrived carrying a bouquet and waited patiently before they spent hours talking together over coffee. That thoughtful first impression – and an evening spent walking her back to her car in the rain – became the beginning of a relationship that would eventually lead them to this beautiful summer wedding day.

Years later, Noah proposed at Grouse Mountain’s Observatory Restaurant, creating another chapter in a story built on thoughtful moments, laughter, and genuine kindness. Today, the two still love spending date nights playing board games together and look forward to building a joyful, loving life side by side.

Their wedding reflected that same spirit. Relaxed, heartfelt, joyful, and full of the people who know them best.

From emotional moments throughout the ceremony to portraits beneath the towering trees and an unforgettable evening celebration beneath a canopy of lights, every part of the day felt intentional without ever feeling rushed. It was one of those weddings where you could genuinely feel how loved these two are.

If you’re dreaming of a countryside celebration that combines rustic charm with elevated elegance, Cave Creek Ranch offers one of the most beautiful wedding settings in the Fraser Valley. Whether you’re envisioning an intimate gathering or a larger celebration beneath their iconic clear-top reception tent, it’s a venue that photographs beautifully in every season.
