Hey, I'm Meg, welcome to my little corner of the cybersphere!
I'm a Fraser Valley wedding & lifestyle photographer (est. 2014) based in Langley, just west of Vancouver BC.
Take a look around & I'd love to connect with you soon!

I am so excited to finally be able to share this amazing Arizona desert engagement session with you all! We photographed Lauren + Chris under the talented direction of the amazing Montana Dennis as a part of the ShowIt United conference in Scottsdale Arizona back in October which already guarantees you are in for a great adventure. Montana is an inspiration within the industry and is known well for pushing the box creatively; it was an honour to watch him work.
He led us in directing Lauren + Chris into fun moments that brought out unique and genuine emotion that drew connection between the two of them. At the same time, he challenged our group to look for lines in our surroundings that draw the eye towards the subject and help to tell the story. Not only did he stay out at the shoot with us long after the shoot was supposed to end to continue teaching us who were eager to learn but he even got up for a spontaneous sunset shoot with a few other attendees the next morning – that’s dedication. But on to Lauren and Chris…
Lauren is the owner and talented photographer of Phoenix-based Lauren Buman Photography and was attending the ShowIt United conference along with the rest of us that were participating in the styled shoots. She looked absolutely gorgeous and was perfectly coordinated in her navy blue dress and necklace with her husband Chris. Watching them playfully banter back and forth with each other reminded me of why I love working one-on-one with couples to capture their unique interactions with each other. It truly is the best job in the world.

Montana leading the shoot…

I loved capturing their joy with each other

Love this one of Lauren grabbing Chris’ tie – this sequence is my favourite

Montana: “Anyone want to climb that steep mountain way over there?” and all hands in the group go up – you know you’re in the right place with the right people!

When an airplane photobombs your couple…

perfection.

I first met Tyler & Kelsey a few weeks before their November wedding at a little coffee shop in Langley to discuss the details of their day! Hearing their plans for a wedding in Salmon Arm, right on the edge of Shuswap Lake, I was instantly excited. Having grown up in the beautiful Okanagan, I never shy away from the opportunity to be back home.
As I made my way over the Coquihalla down into Kelowna and then north, I was anxiously tracking the weather, hoping for a break in the rain, wind & cold we had been experiencing. Unfortunately, we didn’t get much of a reprieve from the rain, but Tyler and Kelsey were such troopers, they didn’t let it dampen their spirits at all. After a bit of a delay and mom-of-the-bride to the rescue, the rain held off long enough for Kelsey to walk down the isle to see Tyler. Despite the day not going quite as planned, the warmth & love these two showed towards each other made up for it tenfold. As I’m sure they will agree with me, it was so worth every second of getting soaked in the cold outside!
It was an absolute privilege to be able to share in the joy and celebration of your marriage with you Kelsey + Tyler, a big congratulations from the Meg Kristina Photography family! With the start of November comes the end of our Fall family mini sessions! C&M and their beautiful growing family are up on the blog this morning! I may be biased considering I know them outside of photography as well but these kids are just the absolute cutest! You wouldn’t be able to tell that their oldest, Cohen, had to overnight in the hospital due to an awful virus days before or that not long after our session their middle child got admitted due to a case of croup! They were full of smiles & joy and behaved so well throughout the entire session! I don’t know how Michelle balances everything that she does and still looks absolutely beautiful! Despite the ups and downs, the kids did amazing and it was such an honour to photograph their family this year for them.

Last weekend marked the last weekend for our 2015 Fall Mini Session promotion and what an awesome way to end off the season! As we make the transition to winter, there’s only a couple of family sessions left to hit the blog and what a blessing to have both of those families be a part of my own extended family!
Earlier in the year I was able to do both maternity and newborn photos for Courtney, you can check out their previous sessions here for maternity, and newborn here! As you’ll see below, we were able to incorporate a few images from their past sessions and I love how they highlight the growth the family has undergone in the last year. I cannot thank these guys enough for their continued support of my business – being chosen to capture lasting forever memories for anyone is a huge compliment, but having clients continue to support me as well is such an honour.
Capturing the joy and love this family has for each other is so much fun, and by the end they were probably sick of me saying “amazing, awesome, so cute” but it was true, these guys were great and are always willing to go along with my crazy kooky photo ideas! 😉
3 kids later and these two still got it!
Here’s a shot from our maternity/family session last year before Baby Weston’s arrival!
The growth from a few weeks old (at our newborn session) to almost a year old! I love getting to recreate family shots!
