Hey, I'm Meg, welcome to my little corner of the cybersphere!
I'm a Fraser Valley wedding & lifestyle photographer (est. 2014) based in Langley, just west of Vancouver BC.
Take a look around & I'd love to connect with you soon!
As some of you may know, I spent this last summer second shooting as much as possible. One of the incredibly talented photographers I spent a lot of my time with was the ever-stunning Hannah of Hannah Cummins Photography. With the summer wedding season winding down, Hannah and I found ourselves itching to get behind the camera again and so we started scheming. Soon enough, we had a portrait session exchange worked out, locations picked, and outfits….. not a clue, I went through my entire closet and could hardly find a thing to wear. I show up to the shoot to find Hannah looking completely gorgeous in her outfits, and she killed it the entire time (while I fumbled awkwardly when it was my turn in front of the camera!)! By the end of the session, I was wholeheartedly convinced that Hannah HAD to have done some sort of modelling a past life or something, she’s got that smoulder down!
As photographers, it can be hard to get in front of the camera (both to find the nerve to do it, and to find someone we trust taking OUR picture… we can be kind of picky, go figure..) so I was so thrilled to be able to do this for Hannah after she spent the whole summer putting up with my awkwardness, sassy comebacks and ridiculous shenanigans. Thanks for an awesome season girl!
Oh my goodness, I’ve said it once and I will say it again – I am absolutely loving the deer themes this year! When I arrived at our session with the Bertrand family, I immediately noticed their adorable coordinated outfits with the deer print. It truly does not get old for me and I’ll be so sad when this fad starts to fade.
The Bertrand family was referred to me by close friends of theirs and I am so glad that they chose me! What a sweet loving beautiful family, and don’t you just love their curly hair?! I had such a wonderful time with them during our mini session in Chilliwack, it truly was a pleasure to work with you, Sara, and your family!
a “silly” shot is ALWAYS a must at family sessions but this really is one of my favourite silly shots to date, what fun!
Oh how I love this time of year for family photos! With the beautiful weather we’ve been having, I’ve made sure to take advantage of a variety of outdoor locations before winter is upon us and the results have been great!
From Island 22 to Vedder River and everywhere in between, the valley in and around Chilliwack has been showing off for family sessions!
I met Avril & her children down by the Fraser River for their session last week. The kids were enthusiastic bundles of energy (which I love!!) from climbing trees, searching the forests for trinkets, exploring the riverbank, & throwing rocks – we had a great time!
There’s only a couple weeks left of our mini session promo, and only a few weekday timeslots remaining so be sure to email me at info@megkristina.com today to get the promo pricing!

It’s the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, which means we’re all slowly getting back to the grind and working off that turkey dinner! I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving with family & friends this past weekend. One of the people I shared part of my Thanksgiving this year with is up on the blog with her family today!
I’ve actually known Annika since our middle school days back in Kelowna. Fast forward a few years and photo sessions later and here we are. After both relocating from Kelowna to Abbotsford to Chilliwack, we’ve now lived in 3 cities together and I am so fortunate to live so close to such a good friend.
We met down at Vedder River last week for a little fall family mini session and we had a blast navigating over the driftwood and searching for rocks on the riverbank.
(a little preview from some of my past sessions with Annika + fam)
Sometimes the best way to get the whole family laughing is when your clients think it’s funny to hit your head with a tree branch while you’re trying to take their picture.. Thanks a lot Travis 😉
