Hey, I'm Meg, welcome to my little corner of the cybersphere!
I'm a Fraser Valley wedding & lifestyle photographer (est. 2014) based in Langley, just west of Vancouver BC.
Take a look around & I'd love to connect with you soon!
With the start of November comes the end of our Fall family mini sessions! C&M and their beautiful growing family are up on the blog this morning! I may be biased considering I know them outside of photography as well but these kids are just the absolute cutest! You wouldn’t be able to tell that their oldest, Cohen, had to overnight in the hospital due to an awful virus days before or that not long after our session their middle child got admitted due to a case of croup! They were full of smiles & joy and behaved so well throughout the entire session! I don’t know how Michelle balances everything that she does and still looks absolutely beautiful! Despite the ups and downs, the kids did amazing and it was such an honour to photograph their family this year for them.
Last weekend marked the last weekend for our 2015 Fall Mini Session promotion and what an awesome way to end off the season! As we make the transition to winter, there’s only a couple of family sessions left to hit the blog and what a blessing to have both of those families be a part of my own extended family!
Earlier in the year I was able to do both maternity and newborn photos for Courtney, you can check out their previous sessions here for maternity, and newborn here! As you’ll see below, we were able to incorporate a few images from their past sessions and I love how they highlight the growth the family has undergone in the last year. I cannot thank these guys enough for their continued support of my business – being chosen to capture lasting forever memories for anyone is a huge compliment, but having clients continue to support me as well is such an honour.
Capturing the joy and love this family has for each other is so much fun, and by the end they were probably sick of me saying “amazing, awesome, so cute” but it was true, these guys were great and are always willing to go along with my crazy kooky photo ideas! 😉
3 kids later and these two still got it!
Here’s a shot from our maternity/family session last year before Baby Weston’s arrival!
The growth from a few weeks old (at our newborn session) to almost a year old! I love getting to recreate family shots!
The beautiful Middlemiss family is up on the blog today. We met down at Great Heron Nature Reserve last Saturday for their fall mini session! Great Heron is always such a great location to take advantage of with families, and I always love incorporating the bridge and structures around the area into my images as well. We were hoping for clear skies, and thankfully the rain stayed away for us, the pup behaved (for the most part 😉 ) and everyone looked amazing! I had a great time meeting you and your gorgeous family Lisa!
Last week, I had the immense privilege of photographing one of my dear friends, Emily. Emily is actually a photographer and business owner herself and I always love following her work, especially all of her sport photography – she has such an eye for it. Her business name in and of itself is so unique and special – DeerFeat Photography based just outside of Calgary AB (Brooks to be more specific!), and holds such a significance to her, you’ll have to make sure you get her to tell you about it!
We had just gotten off the airplane from a photography conference in Arizona, and decided there was no better time than the present to do a mini portrait session for her. I really couldn’t believe it’s one of the first times for Emily to be in front of the camera. Not only did she rock it, she looked as stunning as ever the entire time! And of course (as you’ll see in a bit below) we HAD to dance it out during the session! I love this girl and had such an awesome time down in the states with her! Can’t wait for more adventures together. .
black & white or colour?! I can’t choose!
“I whip my hair back and forth…”
Mid photoshoot dance sesh?! That’s a must!
Seriously, how beautiful is Emily?
