Hey, I'm Meg, welcome to my little corner of the cybersphere!
I'm a Fraser Valley wedding & lifestyle photographer (est. 2014) based in Langley, just west of Vancouver BC.
Take a look around & I'd love to connect with you soon!
Andreya & Cameron got engaged at the end of Rocky Point Pier in Port Moody almost two weeks ago now. The smoke from the fires was still present and lingered in the air, casting a warm hazy glow on the water and on those who came to stroll down the pier along the water’s edge.
Cameron had contacted me beforehand about capturing him proposing to Andreya and I was over the moon ecstatic to be a part of this special moment for them. I arrived extra early & tried to tuck myself into a corner on the pier where I wouldn’t be notice. Cameron sent me a quick text when they arrived, and, as they strolled down the pier and made their way to the end, there was no mistaking their love. Andreya held tight to Cameron’s hand gazing up at him with a look of love in her eyes, entirely unaware that her whole world was about to stop for a few heart-pounding moments before everything changed. They reached the end of the pier & cuddled into each other, looking out over the water and the setting sun. Cameron whispered words to Andreya and carefully took both of her hands in his. He continued, and then slowly dropped to one knee. Andreya’s reaction was beyond touching and slowly but surely a few tears ran down her face. Shaking her head both yes and in disbelief – this moment was theirs.
After Cameron proposed and they were officially engaged, I introduced myself to the unsuspecting Andreya & we snuck off for a quick mini engagement session in the park surrounding the pier. I absolutely loved our session! the timing immediately after the proposal brought about such raw and intimate emotions & moments between these two that I may have to shoot ALL of my engagement sessions right after they become engaged – haha! Seriously though, it was incredible to be a part of. Watching Andreya overcome by what just happened, to see her authentic love for Cameron, and their engagement brought tears to my eyes.
A huge congratulations to you two on your engagement, your new house and upcoming move to a new town. Here’s to your new fresh start together! I wish you both all the best. Thank you for having me be a part of the start of this next chapter of your lives.
Best friend approved!

Congratulations! Your love proposed to you and now not only are you engaged but you have a whole wedding to plan as well! Getting engaged is such an exciting time for a couple, don’t get me wrong, but for many people this can also be a bit of an overwhelming time. From who sits where, who eats what, to what to wear and more. The decisions are endless and so are the possibilities. As you’re faced with all the different options that come with planning a wedding – choosing a venue, dress, photographer (hi!), videographer, florist, etc, it’s important to take it one step at a time.
I hope this has helped you even a little bit. Getting engaged sends you into an exciting emotional whirlwind of activity and it can be hard to get your bearings straight. My hope is this blog post helps focus your hopes, wants & dreams for your wedding day and gives you a starting point.

I first met these two at a little coffee shop in Walnut Grove one quiet evening back in January. It was raining out that day, but as I got out of my car and peered past the pouring rain through the glass windows of the coffee shop I could see the outline of a couple. Sitting there together at a table, their heads bent together, foreheads touching, hand in hand, were Amelia & Lawrence. Even through the darkness & rain-streaked windows I could see not only the love these two held but also the joy they shared together.
We quickly delved into conversation, hearing details of their relationships, engagement, and upcoming wedding (seriously, these two shared more of their wedding plans during this session and it is going to be one incredibly special day – I can’t wait!). Once we started planning their engagement session, we quickly decided on Gastown in the heart of downtown Vancouver as the perfect spot. Lawrence had proposed at a building nearby and they both loved the contrast of the city buildings with their nearing summer wedding venue in Fort Langley.
Fast forward to this last week and we found ourselves meeting at the Steamclock – the centrepiece of Gastown. If they were nervous for their photo session they did not show it at all – the smiles beaming from their faces and the pure happiness shining from their eyes overtook any other doubts. These two were absolute naturals in front of the camera and their love truly shone through and told their story for them.
I’m so excited for their wedding this August at Fort Langley Golf Course. 🙂

Misty & Cole – I’ve been (not so) patiently waiting for their special day since Misty contacted me last spring & told me over coffee all about their plans for their summer wedding at Manning Park Resort.
After their inevitable meeting years ago at friend’s party, these two have been inseparable almost ever since.
We met last fall for their engagement pictures at Deer Lake Park in Burnaby (you can check out their dreamy golden hour session by clicking HERE) and if I wasn’t already excited enough for their wedding, seeing the way these two interact together sealed the deal!
Fast forward to June this year.. On the way to the wedding from Chilliwack, it was becoming apparent that the rainclouds would dictate the day and it was so unexpectedly worth it. Between the rain, the breaks of sunshine, & the snow (yes – I said snow!), it could not have captured more perfectly the unique strong emotional connection that Misty + Cole have formed. Driving towards the summit of the mountain for Couple’s Portraits (my favourite!!!) the snow began to fall, cleansing that which once was there to prepare for the new life that these two would commit to together on this day.
This beautiful couple can weather anything that life throws at them & their wedding day was proof of their connection! Through rain, mountain winds, & snow, they never complained and never stopped looking towards each other. No matter the storm brewing outside, these two soaked in each & every moment and I have no doubt that together they can handle anything life throws at them.
Congratulations Misty + Cole – thank you for having me be a part of your day!
(You know the day is off to a good start when this little guy welcomes you to Manning Park!)
