Hey, I'm Meg, welcome to my little corner of the cybersphere!
I'm a Fraser Valley wedding & lifestyle photographer (est. 2014) based in Langley, just west of Vancouver BC.
Take a look around & I'd love to connect with you soon!
I just love this Sandos Finisterra Beach Wedding but before I get carried away… Back to the beginning, Angie & Dan met August Long weekend of 2012 at a pool party being thrown by a mutual friend (that same friend ended up being photographed by me in a bridal party just a few years later – but more on that in a bit…). They immediately caught each other’s attention, hitting it off instantly. They hung out practically everyday for the next month and the rest they say is history.
Together for just over 5 years, fast forward to an all too familiar long weekend (August) in 2017. It was the 3rd annual house boating trip for these two and their crew. Once they docked that first night, Dan found her trying to sneak in a cat-nap & stole her away. The proposal itself was a blur, as they often are, but without hesitation Angie said YES despite recovering from being in shock. They came off the boat to have 26 of their closest friends waiting for the thumbs up from Dan before they started cheering and holding up the Congratulation banner!
Speaking of that friend who threw the destined pool party that brought these two together, as I mentioned, he had been a member of a bridal party Iād photographed a few years before. Maria & Brad were married at Manning Park in summer 2016, and while Angie & Dan werenāt at the wedding, many mutual friends were. The memories & photographs captured stuck with Angie and sooner rather than later she reached out to me.
(One of the best parts of this all?! Not only was there familiar faces in this wedding travel group because of capturing many of them at Manning Park a few years ago, but many are from Kelowna (where Iām from originally!) with most of them graduating from the same high school. I certainly felt right at home with everyone). While weāre on the topic of community, it has to be said how amazing their entire crew was. From the first moments, there was always someone who went out of their way to ask if I wanted to join for a meal, drink, or activity and I had the best time with this crazy awesome group of people.
Sandos Finisterra Los Cabos is truly a spectacular resort and I could happily photograph my entire wedding season here. Set against the cliffs that lead to the Arch of Cabo, the resort finds itself draped over the mountain – hugging both Downtown Cabo and the harbour as well as the Pacific Ocean on the opposing side. It creates the perfect dramatic romantic setting for your dream Sandos Finisterra beach wedding. And did I mention the stairs?? Endless, spiralling, seemingly hundreds of stairs that lined the cliffs around the resort ensured our step goals were far exceeded and leg workouts more than done for the day and I wouldnāt have it any other way!
Their day was everything you could want and hope for in a wedding day. The perfect balance of sun & cloud, laughter & tears, dancing & reminiscing. These two had plans for a sparkler send off to their night that quickly turned into a bunch of us Canadians loud & proud sing-shouting “Oh Canada” from the rooftop patio into the Cabo harbour for all to hear (sorry not sorry). Not to mention, the exact second A&D took the mic to begin their thank you speech, a spectacular firework show began directly behind them. You just canāt plan this kind of thing.. well I guess you can, but when they happen so magically on your wedding day, you know itās kismet.
Honestly ever since I was young, I always imagined myself having a destination wedding. Something about the beach, the more laid back vibe etc. Plus having a week with friends and family rather than just 1 day sounded way more appealing. Plus we get our own holiday out of it too! š
– Angie & Dan
These two are truly spectacular – both as dynamic individuals and as a strong united couple. Their love & connection to one another knows no bounds. Between them and all the other lovebirds within their community in attendance, you could truly feel the love.
To continue to grow both independently and together as a couple. Travel somewhere new every year, and work hard in the hopes of early retirement to somewhere hot and near the ocean.

I had such a great time and felt so welcomed by Angie & Dan and all their friends & family. I just wanted to extend another thank you to these two for the amazing trip. To end off the trip and thank everyone for coming down, they chartered a catamaran for the group and we had the best sunset sail around Cabo together. I didn’t bring my camera so I could soak it in (& in all honesty it had been pouring all day as well). It was a great way to end another great beach destination wedding – I hope to be back in Cabo soon.
Courtney & Mike – what can I say about these two?! These two are not only crazy about each other, but they are passionate, motivated, caring individuals with a mutual fondness for exploring the world. After adventures in Mexico, Thailand, Peru, Italy and more, it’s safe to say these two have a serious case of the travel bug. They were destined for their Now Sapphire beach destination wedding. A chance meeting back in summer 2013 thanks to Mike’s roommate eventually brought these two together. They made things official in spring of 2014. From there, nothing could stop them. 2015 was Italy, 2016 took them on their own solo adventures and ended with them finding their way to each other – meeting in Thailand to continue their exploring together, but what 2017 would bring them was their future. And so, 2017 was here and their next upcoming trip was already in the works… A romantic meet up in England ended in Mike asking Courtney to be his wife after a day of playing tourist together on the streets of London. What followed was a Europe trip that would make all your bucket list wishes come true. Spain, Portugal, France & beyond. I think it’s safe to say these two have a lot more stamps in their passports in the coming years. Knowing them, I’m positive they’re already planning their next adventure.
If it wasn’t already evident by now, the passion for exploring the world & it’s cultures is held dear by these two. It was an obvious immediate decision for these two to take their love, once again, international. This time surrounded by their friends & family. They eventually decided on a Now Sapphire Beach destination wedding in Riviera Maya, just outside of Cancun. I couldn’t speak more highly of the resort. It’s no secret that Now Sapphire is an in-demand venue for beach destination weddings in Mexico. The Saturday I arrived at the resort there were 4 weddings that day – one of which was photographed by a fellow photog-friend of mine (also from Langley). It’s such a small world!
These two have an amazing group of people around them and YES I’m aware I say that every time but it’s SO true! Much of their bridal party was made up of family for these two as well as friends that have become family over the years. We had a BLAST with these guys! They kept us smiling through the humidity, sand, tears, laughs, First Dances and Best Man speeches! Their dance party at their reception was one for the ages and finished with an epic splash in the pool.
I feel so fortunate to have people as amazing as Courtney & Mike as clients! Courtney and I went to the same high school and grad trip in Costa Rica back in the day. The next year both Courtney and myself found our way back to Costa Rica both on our own adventures. The Pura Vida mentality left a lasting impression on us both, I think. Since being bus buddies on that trip to CR in Gr 12 to following each other’s adventures over the years – it means the world that I got to witness & capture these two start the next stage in their own journey in this wild crazy adventure called life.
We had a great time and I just wish we’d had twice as many days there together to explore & capture every inch of the resort… And okay, maybe sneak in a few more margaritas with these two and their friends!

You guys, I’ve been SO excited to share this session with you!!
Michelle & Karim were married on the beaches of Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, overlooking the ocean. Their ceremony was touching, romantic & intimate, and their entire day was filled with an overwhelming sense of joy that reached out to each and every person there – you can check them out on the blog by clicking here.
Being in this absolutely beautiful location (seriously the ocean in Punta Cana is one of the best I’ve ever experienced and even the sand on the beach was beyond words!) we just couldn’t resist making the most of our time by sneaking in a “day after” session (or maybe I should call it a “honeymoon” session haha ;)). The love these two have for each other is passionate, caring and understanding and I loved every minute of watching them interact. There’s something to be said for their love and being able to capture it for them in this intimate setting was a privilege.
This session was everything I could’ve hoped for and more. I’ve wanted to do a session involving water for a long time, whether an ocean or a lake, it didn’t matter. There is something about being in the water that brings about a different level of intimacy and passion that can be hard to capture on camera and I love the depth it adds to the entire experience. Check out their ocean session below:

Just over two weeks ago, Karim & Michelle were wed on the beautiful sun-kissed beaches of Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana, with the turquoise waters glistening behind them and the sound of the ocean waves just feet from them. I can’t even begin to put into words how much of a perfect match these two are for each other. Michelle is from Victoria and Karim is based close to me (Langley) in Surrey BC. They both have beautiful daughters and a shared passion for embracing the ups and downs of life and living every moment to it’s fullest. They brought together not only their family but those close to them, the kind of friends you consider family, and they had an amazing turnout! Over 40 (I lost count somewhere around 25 – haha!) of those they love most in the world traveled down to the stunning Dominican Republic to join in celebrating this love together.
As the week progressed, you could tell that the unique, passionate, rare love that Karim & Michelle held for each other was spreading joy & more love to those around them. One of the couples attending the wedding even got engaged in the days following (a big congrats to you two!). It was so special to be a part of not only their big day but their entire week as well. These two brought me in and made me feel welcome and comfortable amongst everyone and I can’t thank them enough that they let me be part of capturing and photographing their beautiful day, which may be the most perfect, touching destination weddings to date.
A big congratulations to Michelle & Karim, I wish you all the best going forward and can’t wait to catch up with a glass of wine soon!
