You may remember back in the fall, I was able to capture family pictures for the Janke-Martin family. Well, this past week, I had a blast with Ashley and her family when I was invited to come and capture maternity pictures in their home. She is due the end of January and I could not have been more excited for this opportunity to help her capture this special moment in their lives. I’ve been bursting at the seams going through images from our time together. Not that I pick favorites, but these sessions had to be one of my favorites. Ashley looked stunning, Jason and the kids were wonderful, and as usual we had a blast. I’ve had a hard time narrowing down favorites from our time because they were all my favorites.
The best part? There’s more! Make sure to stay tuned to the blog next week for part 2….. A maternity boudoir session! Trust me, it’s worth the wait. Ashley looks stunning and as usual is the bravest pregnant lady I’ve known!

Two weeks ago, I met up with LaRee and her gorgeous family. What troopers they were – it was -10 with wind chill but you would’ve never guessed the temperature with the warm smiles coming from this family. Thanks for sticking it out out there with me you guys!

WOW is all I can say for this incredible family! What a beautiful lovely group of people! Ashley contacted me a few weeks ago and as soon as we met for coffee I knew what a special family this was from the way all the kids interacted together and with Ashley to their contagious smiles and giggles.
We decided on a nature walk at Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack BC last Sunday. We had the perfect weather, the kids were amazing, the scenery was gorgeous, and we had a great time running around, meeting frogs and dragonflys, and jumping in puddles! And let me tell you, Ashley was fearless! She tossed off her shoes before I could even look up from my camera and the next thing I know, she was leading the girls into the biggest puddle that you ever did see – she is not afraid to get down and dirty and it was awesome to see and so much fun!

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to fly out East to where my father lives to not only witness his marriage, but also to help capture the moments to follow for them to cherish forever. They put together a beautiful wedding, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house during the ceremony. Don (dad) & Elsa, you two are a beautiful couple.

Sneaking in a few moments to themselves before the ceremony begins – I love capturing the moments where people don’t think I’m around. . 😉

The first kiss.

What a beautifully decorated reception – elegance at it’s finest!

The first dance.
And let me tell you, these two know how to dance!!!! It was amazing and heartwarming to watch the way these two hopped on the dance floor and held their own all night long! It was fantastic to see, and left all the kids in shock and wonder at seeing their parents diggin it up on the dance floor! Way to go you two!
