Ready to spend some time reminiscing with me about this Abbotsford wedding in the Secret Garden? I promise you’re going to love it. It has all the elements you need for a perfect story. Long-time friends, secret gardens, stolen glances… Okay, let me get on with the story.
Before the Abbotsford wedding
I met Alyssa at her sister’s wedding. You might remember seeing Amanda and John on my blog. They were married at the Golden Eagle Golf Club the winter before. I was thrilled to see Alyssa’s inquiry come in a few months later, and I couldn’t wait to be part of another special moment for this family.
The love story
Alyssa and Jeremy were the sweetest couple. They met when they were 16 at a birthday party, and have been sweethearts ever since.
It’s something special when you grow up together like Alyssa and Jeremy. You really get to know each other and see the evolution of your partner through many early phases of your lives. And when I looked at Alyssa and Jeremy, all I could see was unending love.
They’re so in sync. Which, I guess, is suiting since they’ve been essentially attached at the hip since high school!
They got engaged in 2023 in one of their favourite places in Langley – Campbell Valley Park. It was one of the first places they really called their own when they first started dating in 2015. Which makes it absolutely fitting that they start the next phase of their lives there too.
What was the Abbotsford wedding in the Secret Garden like?
Alright, let’s get to the good part.
Alyssa and Jeremy had the prettiest Abbotsford wedding at the Secret Garden at Ripples Winery. If you’ve never been there, you’re in for a treat with these photos. The Secret Garden is this amazing little tucked-away nook at Ripples Winery. Being there feels magical. It’s just surrounded by plants and flowers, making it feel like you’re in a world all of your own making.
You feel secluded, and it lends an intimate setting for your event. Which was also the perfect place for these two.
While we’re talking about perfect things, I’m a sucker for perfect moments. As a photographer, I see quite a few of them, and they’re all special. But with Alyssa and Jeremy, it felt like every moment was perfect. It was like they knew exactly what to expect from each other and the day because they were marrying their best friend. If only everything could be so effortless and easy.
Still, the look on Jeremy’s face when he first saw Alyssa coming down the aisle is going to stick with me for a long time to come. It was this beautiful mix of adoration and happiness. A small smile, just for her and the moment
The wedding was simple and elegant, but the energy in the room and among the guests was profound. Everyone in attendance was bursting with joy at these two tying the knot.
And it was awesome to be part of their big day.
Now, since you’re here for the pictures, let’s get to it! Here’s a selection of some of my favourites. I hope you like them as much as I do.
