Just over two weeks ago, Karim & Michelle were wed on the beautiful sun-kissed beaches of Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana, with the turquoise waters glistening behind them and the sound of the ocean waves just feet from them. I can’t even begin to put into words how much of a perfect match these two are for each other. Michelle is from Victoria and Karim is based close to me (Langley) in Surrey BC. They both have beautiful daughters and a shared passion for embracing the ups and downs of life and living every moment to it’s fullest. They brought together not only their family but those close to them, the kind of friends you consider family, and they had an amazing turnout! Over 40 (I lost count somewhere around 25 – haha!) of those they love most in the world traveled down to the stunning Dominican Republic to join in celebrating this love together.
As the week progressed, you could tell that the unique, passionate, rare love that Karim & Michelle held for each other was spreading joy & more love to those around them. One of the couples attending the wedding even got engaged in the days following (a big congrats to you two!). It was so special to be a part of not only their big day but their entire week as well. These two brought me in and made me feel welcome and comfortable amongst everyone and I can’t thank them enough that they let me be part of capturing and photographing their beautiful day, which may be the most perfect, touching destination weddings to date.
A big congratulations to Michelle & Karim, I wish you all the best going forward and can’t wait to catch up with a glass of wine soon!

The most beautiful and happy wedding photos I’ve ever seen! Draws me in every time I look at them. You really captured a very special union.
Thank you so much Bette! They are an amazing couple and I can’t thank them enough of having me be a part of capturing these memories from their wedding day through photography. <3
As I look at these, they bring back a lot of emotions of joy from that week and the expressions of happiness that enveloped the entire time spent with the family and friends of Michelle and Karim. The mix of 51 people, by the middle of the week, became one big family. You did an amazing job of capturing the catalyst that inspired the events of that week. These photos are simply beautiful…
Meagen, these photographs are stunning and sensational. What you have done here is create a legacy gift, an album of treasured memories and transcendent visuals. You are a superb photographer and artist. Thank you so very, very much. From Michael, the proud and happy father of the bride.

Dear Meagan – your photos have so captured the spirit of the occasion: joy, love, belonging, laughter, intimacy … so many aspects of what is essential in all our lives. Thank you for your beautiful creative gift – not only of seeing essential moments but also of capturing those essential moments within a nano-second frame. I am grateful for the gift of ‘framed’ memories frozen in moments we all shared at the wedding. Thank you so very much – a big hug of thanks. (Elaine, mother of the bride and new mother-in-law of a remarkable, already well-loved son-in-law)
Beautiful location, beautiful people, beautiful photos of a wonderful occasion. Great work Meagan!
