There’s nothing quite like an intimate mountaintop wedding. In Maria + Brad’s case, they were married in a stunning intimate mountaintop wedding ceremony at Manning Park. Truly it was a sight to see amid blooming alpine meadows surrounded by scenic views of the Cascade mountain range.
Now, since there’s no formal seating, improvisation is key. This is especially true when you have a remote wedding. That said, Maria and Brad rocked it!
But let’s start at the beginning, when Maria walked down the aisle carrying a bouquet filled with wildflowers. Brad had handpicked them that very morning. It was quite sweet. What was very clear the whole time was this couple’s love, you see, from the moment Brad saw Maria walking down the aisle toward him, it was there. Seriously, his jaw-dropping reaction was a perfect example of the love these two hold for each other. Don’t believe me? You can see more of their love by checking out their Buntzen Lake engagement session!).
Looking back, there is not a single moment of this wedding that didn’t touch my heart. To give you an example, the moment that Maria reached out to Brad, I swear, the world stopped turning. Or, the way Brad looked at Maria like he was the luckiest guy in the world.
I think he’s right 😉 and I was far from the only one to agree! The way Brad looks at Maria, the love that shines through their eyes as they look at each other, it’s clear they are wholly entirely intoxicated with each other.
Love is in the air
The best part, I have to say, was that the joy of the day wasn’t just between Brad and Maria. No, this joy was abundant, you could feel it in the air, and see it among all of their family and friends. It was palpable, and I loved it! Seriously, everyone who had gathered and shared their excitement for this next stage in life was feeling the love. Beyond the people, the love and affection were in all the small things. For example, take in the smiles, the tears of joy, or moments of carefree laughter, all of it showed the happiness of the moment.
Or how about when Katie walked out in her wedding dress? It was a prime example of the love and support these two have from their community.
To give you my final thoughts, it was such an honor to be up at the gorgeous Manning Park Resort. Truthfully, I’m here for it any time. But, especially when I meet couples like Maria and Brad. They truly made this a special experience.
Honestly, you two were such a dream to photograph. Thank you so much for letting us be part of your day. We absolutely adored every minute of capturing your day.
